Lane Powell Supports Classroom Law Project and National State Court Judicial Conference Lawyers Committee
Lane Powell recently donated to the Classroom Law Project to support the distribution to Oregon schools of a national publication regarding the importance of the court system and the role of lawyers. This publication was authored and put together by the National Center Judicial Conference. The program was started by Sandra Day O’Connor and is supported by Judges DeMuniz and Brewer from Oregon Court of Appeals and Oregon Supreme Court. Lane Powell Shareholders Ken Davis, a Classroom Law Project board member, and Bob Maloney are both involved in this program and have been instrumental in getting other law firms to donate to the cause.
The Classroom Law Project has emerged as Oregon’s leader in preparing youth to become active, engaged and informed participants in a democratic society. To learn more about the organization, click here.
