The Future of High Skill Immigration (Seattle)
Lane Powell Shareholder Diane Butler will serve on a panel at the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s interactive discussion “The Future of High Skill Immigration” on September 7 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle from 7:30-9 a.m. The discussion features a panel of local business leaders including Butler, as well as U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Alejandro Mayorkas. The discussion topics will include our country’s current system for high-skill foreign workers; how the system could be changed to benefit the U.S. economy; and what the Chamber and its members can do on this issue to support the continued growth of local companies that make the innovative, world-class goods and services our region is known for. Butler and the rest of the panel will discuss the impact of this issue on our region’s economy and strategies to work with our elected officials to make positive changes.
