Lane Powell Announces Seven New Shareholders
Lane Powell is pleased to announce that seven attorneys in the Seattle and Portland offices have been elected to shareholder, effective January 1, 2012.
Paige L. Davis concentrates her practice on cross-border tax and business planning and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. She works with clients to create efficient international investment structures from tax and legal perspectives. She has been named a “Best Lawyer in America®” in 2012 and a “Washington Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine. Davis received her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School, her LL.M in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Victoria.
Benjamin J. Roesch concentrates his practice in insurance coverage disputes for the London Market and complex commercial litigation. Roesch received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
Stephanie Stephens represents banks, finance companies and other lenders in negotiating, documenting, and closing secured and unsecured debt financing transactions, including revolving credit, term credit, senior, subordinate, syndicated, mezzanine, asset-based and cash-flow multi-tranche loans. Stephens received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Humboldt State University.
Andrew G. Yates focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes and has experience in both the state and federal courts. Andrew’s practice also includes the representation of mortgage lenders and brokers in a variety of civil disputes, including loan repurchase litigation, borrower-lender disputes and claims under the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, consumer protection statutes and the Washington Mortgage Brokers Practices Act. He has been named a “Washington Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine. Yates received his J.D., cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and his B.A. from Whitman College.
Julie M. Engbloom has an active litigation practice focusing on complex civil and corporate matters. She concentrates on regulatory compliance and securities and banking-related litigation. She has been named an “Oregon Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine for three consecutive years, from 2009-2011. Engbloom received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
Jill R. Long focuses her practice on land use and real estate, with a focus on obtaining land use entitlements for retailers, developers and property owners. Jill has successfully obtained entitlements for a broad range of clients, from national retailers to local family-owned shopping center developers. Long received her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School and her B.A. from the University of Oregon.
Parna A. Mehrbani practices all aspects of intellectual property law, including managing the Firm’s trademark clearance, registration and enforcement practice, copyright, right of publicity, trade secret, licensing, Internet and e-commerce, all manner of intellectual property contracting, and litigation. She was named an “Oregon Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine and an “Up & Coming Lawyer” by the Oregon Daily Journal of Commerce. Mehrbani received her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School and her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
