Cooper, Shively and Simonyan Join Lane Powell
Carson R. Cooper, Connor B. Shively and Tereza Simonyan joined Lane Powell on October 3. Cooper joined Lane Powell in the Construction Practice Group, Shively joined the Litigation Practice Group, and Simonyan joined the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.
Cooper focuses his practice in the area of construction law. In addition to his summer associate experience at Lane Powell, Cooper worked as a law clerk for the California Indian Legal Services. Cooper earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and his B.A. from Stanford University.
Shively focuses his practice in the area of complex litigation. In addition to his summer associate experience at Lane Powell, Shively was a judicial extern to The Honorable Judge Kallas of King County Superior Court, where he researched and drafted legal memoranda based on statutory and common law analysis at the state and federal level, and helped analyze and compile discovery for trial. Shively also previously worked as a legal researcher for the Snohomish County Public Defenders’ Association. Shively earned his J.D. and B.A. from University of Washington.
Simonyan focuses her practice in the areas of reorganization, insolvency, bankruptcy and related litigation. She has represented debtors and creditors, and has previously worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable Karen Overstreet, Chief Bankruptcy Judge in the Western District of Washington. Simonyan has handled various aspects of bankruptcy cases, including cash collateral, relief from stay, plan confirmation, claim objection, employment and fee application, fraudulent and preferential transfers, nondischargeability actions, and other bankruptcy-related litigation. Simoyan earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law and her B.A. from University of Washington.
