Areas of Practice

Carson Cooper focuses his practice in the area of construction law. In addition to representing public and private owners and design firms, he also represents financial institutions in construction lien disputes and consumer and commercial disputes. Additionally, Carson is the leader of Lane Powell’s Native American Affairs Practice Group and has experience representing tribes on matters involving Indian gaming regulatory work, tribal financing and economic development on tribal land. Prior to joining Lane Powell, Carson was involved with the Tribal Economic Development Clinic at UCLA School of Law, and worked with tribes in southern California to develop tax revenue codes and internal regulatory frameworks for tribal governments.
