Lane Powell Ranks 10th in Large Company Category for “100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon”
Oregon Business magazine (“OBM”) revealed the 2011 rankings of the “100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon” on Thursday, March 3, at the Oregon Convention Center; Lane Powell ranked 10th in the Large Company Category out of the 33 selected for the list (an increase from last year’s ranking as 17th). Lane Powell also tied for second overall for the “Employer Benefits Survey,” with a score of 85.9 out of 100. The survey consisted of 50 questions covering a comprehensive set of benefits, including health and wellness, time off, family-friendly policies, work scheduling, incentives, retirement plans and culture.
Lane Powell Shareholder David Hosenpud made a brief presentation to the 800 attendees at the event on behalf of Lane Powell. He informed the audience of important issues in Labor and Employment (“L&E”) law, and also made mention of Lane Powell’s upcoming annual L&E seminar that the Firm is teaming with OBM to present on April 21 — “Best Practices for Best EmployersTM.”
The rankings are based on confidential employee surveys measuring employee satisfaction in five categories, including benefits and compensation, work environment, decision-making and trust, performance management, and career development and learning.
The Portland office is in great company — our Washington offices were finalists in the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “Best Workplaces” survey in August 2010.
