Payton Included in NW Jobs Article

On August 23, Lane Powell Shareholder Gwendolyn Payton was included in an article titled “Does Anybody Read Cover Letters Anymore?”  In the article, Payton — who sits on the Lane Powell Executive Committee and oversees all of the Firm’s legal hiring needs — humorously remembers times in which prospective employees have submitted cover letters addressed to the wrong company entirely.  She also comments on mass mailing cover letters and resumes to employers, and how such a tactic can degrade the professionalism and perceived interest of job seekers.
