Wheeler Quoted on King 5 News Regarding Timeshare Selling Tips

Lane Powell Shareholder Doug Wheeler was quoted July 6 on King 5 News in a segment offering timeshare selling tips to viewers. The story discussed how scammers are applying pressure on timeshare sellers to complete bad deals. In the segment, Wheeler offered his advice:

If you are looking to dump your timeshare, list and advertise it yourself. That way, you can steer clear of extra fees. “You’re going to spend a few hundred dollars, at least, to have somebody list it for you, and all they may do is put it up on a website,” said Wheeler. He also recommends donating or gifting the timeshare, but don’t get desperate. “You may have restrictions in your timeshare on what you can do with it and how you have to sell it.”
